do it all yourself

my whole fit was pretty much reconstructed using scissors and safety pins..nothing new. but i just like to stress the point that when you feel like you have to go shopping again because you find yourself wearing the same clothing articles everyday, just mess with what you've got and it'll look fresh.

flannel vest; urban outfitters [cut off the sleeves and the lower front area to give it a tail). shirt; hanes (safety pinned a pocket that was cut out from an american apparel shirt). shorts; cheap monday. maxi; wasteland (safety pinned the from to give the dress a tail). sock; urban outfitters. shoes; timberlands. cuffs; cuffs from a baby tee that i cut off).

close up of the pleating i did on my maxi to give it a tail. to do this, you just layer the material and then pin up the two sides. then at the end pin up the top section of the layering so that it doesn't hang over.
